Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - The valley of Roses - Skoura - Dades
We at Morocco Trips -Morocco trusted travel company for Sahara Tours from Marrakech - we organise Desert Tour in Morocco. We pick you up from your hotel at 8 am, and leave Marrakech to begin our tour in the Dades Valley. We pass through Tizi-n-Tichka in the high Atlas Mountains where we pause to appreciate the mountain views. We visit the Ait Ben Haddou village which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. It is famous as a backdrop for many films, including 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'Gladiator' and 'Alexander'. We take lunch here before continuing on our way enjoying the natural beauty of the landscapes and historical monuments such as Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and Roses Valley, which is renowned for the Festival of Roses. We also pass through the little Berber villages of Skoura and 'El Kelaa des MGouna' and 'Boumalne Dades'. Overnight in a hotel which includes dinner and breakfast.
Today we drive toward Todgha valley, we visit the Valley and its gorges. We drive to Erfoud; there we stop for lunch, after lunch we drive to Merzouga, the gate to the dunes. We go to Le Palais des Dunes hotel, we stop there for around an hour if you are attempted by a short swim in the swimming pool. Around 4 o’clock we ride camels two hours into the dunes. We arrive to the camp around 6 o’clock, we have a mint tea with the nomads in the camp, and then we get over the dunes to watch the sun set. Day 3: Merzouga desert - Rissani - Alnif - Draa Valley - Marrakech
Our camel man will wake you up early to watch sunrise , afterwards, we will trek back to the village of Merzouga Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes - changing with the light as the day progresses. Arriving late morning back in Merzouga. After breakfast in your hotel, leave for the Draa valley, the longest river in Morocco full of small villages and hidden kasbahs. Stops to admire the fabulous landscape and original geological forms. Again cross the High Atlas to arrive to Marrakech in the afternoon/evening. End of 3 day Sahara Tour from Marrakesh to Erg Chebbi dunes.
